Before you go: the price, and the date it changed
A general ticket to the cathedral and the Giralda costs €13.00 online and €14.00 at the box office, and the reduced ticket €7.00 / €8.00. Those are the rates the chapter itself publishes with a date on them: «Entrada en vigor: 1 de enero 2026». The same ticket also gets you into the church of El Salvador, and the official estimate for the visit is 75 minutes. The tour does not start where you expect: access is through the Giralda. And on Sundays that are not feast days there is a free public visit from 16:30 to 18:00, but you have to book it in advance. West of the cathedral the old town runs down to the Guadalquivir: about 1 km, 15 minutes on foot through El Arenal, and at the end of it the Triana Bridge crosses into Triana, the old sailors’ and potters’ quarter on the far bank. If you would rather walk it along the river, go south first to the Torre del Oro and turn north along the water — it is prettier, and about 10 minutes longer.
